Location - Queen Square, Bristol

Duties include evaluating and testing websites and applications, developing information architectures, wire-framing interfaces, interacting with clients, presenting ideas and being able to communicate with a wide range of people is a significant and rewarding part of this role.
To apply for this role you must have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a discipline such as: Human-computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information or Interaction design, Library science, Psychology, Anthropology or Communications. An intensive training programme will be provided to the successful contact.
The Role
- Quickly understanding a client's business, their requirements and objectives;
- Reviewing existing website identifying problems with the interface and solutions to improve performance;
- Researching user groups and their requirements;
- Preparing user testing plans and documentation;
- Facilitating user sessions and guiding clients through feedback;
- Translating research findings into solutions that deliver real value to clients;
- Communicating and liaising with web development teams including project managers, designers and technical people;
- Developing and delivering presentations confidently to clients and peers.
The Person
- A genuine enthusiasm for user experience, information architecture and interaction design;
- Self motivated and results driven;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
- High level of service orientation;
- Will assume responsibility for the quality and timeliness of deliverables;
- Hard-working and dedicated;
- Expert proficiency in: Visio and Microsoft Office.
As well as working with a highly experienced team you will be assigned a Nomensa usability specialist as a mentor. Most work is office based, but there is occasionally travel to client meetings, research sessions, conferences and seminars and this sometimes includes overnight stays.
