Creating an effective donation process – Nomensa to present at IoF National Convention
06th July 2011User experience design agency, Nomensa are to partner with Think Consulting and UNHCR to speak at this year’s Institute of Fundraising (IoF) National Convention.
With vast experience in the charity sector having worked with the National Trust, Big Lottery Fund, Macmillan Cancer Support and Guidedogs for the Blind, amongst others, Nomensa are perfectly positioned to deliver a presentation on designing the perfect online donation process.
The National Convention is the biggest and best fundraising event in Europe, with over 2,000 attendees. IoF promises the event will inform, refresh, innovate and re-energise to encourage attendees to be the best fundraiser they can be.
A recent study reported that 47% of people have not donated to a charity because of confusing navigation, cluttered design and/or confusing flow from page to page. Bad usability on websites is potentially costing charities thousands in donations. The presentation, featuring Jason Potts from Think, Mike Walton from UNHCR and Nomensa’s Managing Director and founder, Simon Norris will help attendees prevent this from happening by describing the perfect online donation process. Following this presentation, Nomensa, Think and UNHCR will be conducting A/B testing to refine the UNHCR donation journey and will present the insights and findings in a whitepaper later in the year.
Speaking amongst charities such as Save the Children and WWF, Nomensa’s Simon Norris is thrilled to be a part of the event:
"Being a part of the biggest event in the fundraising calendar is an honour and I’m thrilled to be able to help charities build better donation journeys.
Following my presentation, the next steps are very exciting indeed because we are going to be providing a blue print that all charities can use to build more engaging donation journeys. This is a win-win for donors and for charities!"
The IoF event will cover a lot of ground, informing attendees on topics including digital fundraising, direct marketing, personal effectiveness and The Bigger Picture.
