Prospect overhaul site structure in new website launch

11th January 2012

Prospect logoProspect, the union for professionals has launched their new website after a UX and design overhaul by Nomensa.

The new website (www.prospect.org.uk) has an updated design and structure which is more reflective of Prospect’s policies and has improved how they support their commitment to their members.

The structure of the new website went through particular scrutiny during the redesign to better support Prospect’s members and to encourage take up of new members. Prospect’s old website featured 22 top level navigation items which during the research stages of the redesign project were found to be confusing and disorientating for the majority of users. The old website can be seen below:

The site provides users with key information on Prospect’s core policies, what they do and who they work for. Rich in this type of information, the new site is better positioned to efficiently support members by providing them with advice and guidance quickly and intuitively. The member login has also been significantly improved, ensuring an easy route to a member’s personal Prospect membership details.

Lynn Stevenson, Communications officer and website editor at Prospect comments:

"Nomensa's professionalism and the breadth of their expertise were invaluable, and they guided us through the task of reviewing our website in a constructive and positive way. It was a pleasure to work with them on this project."
