Maintaining your website's accessibility is a continuous process

We understand that once your have achieved you desired level of accessibility, it can be a daunting exercise to ensure that you maintain it. It may be that you would like the support and confidence knowing that your website updates aren't affecting your website accessibility or that you have many content editors and a quality assurance programme will help you to control this process.

The frequency of quality assurance testing is determined by you. Some of our clients choose to be tested monthly, quarterly or even biannual.

What are the benefits to your organisation?

Put simply, peace of mind.

  • The assurance that your website updates are not impacting on your website's accessibility;
  • A cost-effective method of ensuring your website's accessibility is maintained;
  • Any changes that have been made to your website that have a negative effect on accessibility will be picked up by Nomensa and you will be notified immediately;
  • You will be able to react quickly to any issues found, allowing you to protect your claims of an accessible website.

How do we conduct our Quality Assurance programmes?

A Quality Assurance programme entails a top-level assessment of accessibility at regular intervals agreed by your organisation. The assessment would include:

  • Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) compliance checks - does the site (still) meet the desired accessibility levels, and if not, where is it failing?
  • An evaluation of accessibility work known to have been completed - have the improvements been correctly implemented and maintained, and if not, how can any issues be addressed?
  • Any new areas implemented to the website since the last report - how do they validate in terms of accessibility?

What do we deliver?

A report that covers each of the following:

  • WAI compliance checks;
  • Evaluation of accessibility work known to have been completed;
  • New site implementations;
  • Recommendations on how to address any identified issues.
