We work hard to make Dacorum Digest accessible for all our readers and so accessibility together with a clear and attractive design were key criteria for the online version. Nomensa has successfully translated the brief we gave them into a magazine that is of a quality that our on-line readers deserve.

The Challenge
Dacorum Digest is the Council's free publication that keeps residents up to date with local events and developments. The publication was published in a paper format and Nomensa were asked to produce an online delivery whilst refining existing designs to give them a fresh new look.
The online look and feel of the magazine needed to resemble that of the paper version but had to be translated for online use whilst being accessible.
The Process
Nomensa reviewed the previous design ideas and created a new design brief to capture requirements to ensure objectives were met during the project. The design was finalised and rolled out across homepage and content page storyboards.
These were then translated into fully accessible templates which were integrated into Dacorum Council’s content management system.
The Outcomes
Dacorum’s online Digest Magazine has a vibrant look and feel with a structure that is user friendly allowing users to choose between reading online or on paper. This has enabled Dacorum Council to communicate with a wider audience allowing more people access to the magazine in a format that meets their needs.
