Challenge
Supported by the Government Office for the South West, Equality South West is an organisation funded by the Regional Development Agency to promote equality for all.
Nomensa was chosen to redesign and evolve the website into a professional online networking facility. The new website needed to achieve at least double-A accessibility compliance, migrate a substantial volume of information from an existing website and a new Content Management System.
Process
Nomensa created a new look and feel for the website, and through a close collaborative design process with Equality South West's brand team, Nomensa designed a website that is visually striking and represents the organisation's brand values.
Due to the website's vast amount of content, the information architecture required indepth usability analysis. Using Nomensa's expertise, the Equality South West website has a highly intuitive structure, providing users with a simple and efficient user experience.
Nomensa exceeded expectations by translating the new designs into triple-A accessible web templates and integrating these into Defacto CMS.
Outcomes
A striking, fully accessible and reliable website, the Equality South West website delivers a professional and informative experience for its audience. The website hosts an A-Z listing directory, online search facility, data fed in from an external database and dynamic news items. Visitors to the website have increased by 152% since the launch and feedback has been hugely positive.
