Charities fail to make an impact online - we show you how to improve
In a climate where the total amount of charitable giving remained static in 2011 and Government funding is expected to fall by £2.8bn between 2011 and 2016, charities need to work harder to maintain and increase giving. Online donating is an area with huge potential to improve current performance. It accounts for just 7% of total giving, and currently 47% of donors give up before they have made a donation because the online journey is not intuitive and engaging. Charities need to stop copying from each other and start learning about how donors actually behave in order to increase levels of giving.
