The Internet Services Providers' Association, (ISPA) and the law firm Pinset Masons, held a legal forum that explored some of the legal issues in web accessibility that have not yet made the headlines.Held at Aylesbury Street, London, the forum was hosted by OUT-Law.com, and covered many legal issues that have kept a lower profile, such as the nature of the risks for an ISP in hosting inaccessible content.

Simon Norris and Léonie Watson of  Nomensa were invited to speak about implementing accessible Web design, also, to explain the importance in sustaining accessible communications online.

Norris commented, “Allowing people to fully participate in the wider community and act independently is a vital human right.” He continued, “Being sufficiently aware of the moral and legal obligations with regards to accessibility is crucial to the success of any organisation that chooses to communicate online.”

The forum closed with a lively discussion and vigorous debate about the not so known issues surrounding web accessibility.
