Showing how a website’s user experience can make efficiency savings
The Nomensa team exhibited at the 2nd Annual Efficiency Delivery Conference, held on the 6th December 2005, at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London. The event was organised by GovNet Events and focused on putting efficiency policies into practice. The event was attended by representatives from local and central government agencies and authorities, charged with making efficiency savings after the Gershon Report of 2004.
Nomensa demonstrated its various services, covering accessibility and usability analysis to comprehensive content management solutions. Used separately or in combination, these services can significantly improve user engagement and the experience of a website - if users can find the information they need online, resource can be saved in call centre and support staff costs.
As the central point of reference for local citizenship, local government web sites are obliged to create an engaging and helpful user experience, offering information and a sense of community.
If users’ needs are dealt with by the website, Authorities can provide better value for public money and direct resources to more specific and worthwhile areas.
