Online strategy and web accessibility interlinked

British Standards Institute logoOn the 7th July 2005, The British Standards Institute (BSI) Business Information will be holding an event that will highlight web accessibility as a key issue when implementing a successful business strategy.  Nomensa, the research and design company specialising in web accessibility, will talk at the event alongside other leaders in the industry such as the Royal National Institution of the Blind (RNIB) and the Disability Rights Commission (DRC).

Assessing the Business Benefits, one of the main topics of the one day event will address how accessibility fits into the company’s overall strategy, best practices in measuring your site for accessibility, and cost effective solutions for implementation.

Nomensa will address topics that are frequently asked by professionals about realising the business benefits of accessibility in online communications.  Leonie Watson, head of accessibility at Nomensa comments:

It’s simple really, if you generate more customers you will generate more revenue. The more accessible you make your online products and services, the more people you include as potential customers- this means good return on your web site investment.

The BSI event will be held on July 7th at the BSI Headquarters in London. Tickets can be booked online, or by calling direct at 020 8996 9001.
