Dacorum Borough Council showcase Nomensa designed community magazine

Dacorum Borough Council has published the first edition of its online community magazine, Dacorum Digest after approaching Nomensa to design and build the site templates.

The vibrant and engaging microsite aims to provide the Dacorum community with information on the events and activities around the Borough, up-to-date news, environmental issues and much more. It was made available online to be accessible to a wider range of people.

Nomensa has provided Dacorum Council with website templates and design that adhere to Triple-A accessibility standard of the Web Accessibility Initiative’s (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 1.0 set out by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Liam Harrington, Dacorum Senior Systems Developer comments:

We work hard to make Dacorum Digest accessible for all our readers and so accessibility together with a clear and attractive design were key criteria for the on-line version.

Nomensa has successfully translated the brief we gave them into a magazine that is of a quality that our on-line readers deserve.

The new site can be found at http://www.dacorum.gov.uk/digest.

Dacorum Borough Council and Nomensa successfully have worked together on previous projects in accessibility and web design since 2005. To find out more about previous work read Nomensa’s full case study.
