New interactive dog control web pages giving advice about poop scoops are the latest developments in the e-government revolution.

The West Lancashire District Council's website has created a section where users can report stray dogs, tell the council about dog fouling issues and even order a stock of free poop scoop bags.

It also offers an explanation of the council's policy on dog fouling, encouraging owners to take responsibility over their pets.

The site marks the commitment of the council to keep West Lancashire clean and tidy and it offers just another convenient way for the public to access important information and get in touch with the council.

"The new online forms are a great feature of the website.

"They give residents another way to contact the council, which can be more convenient too - people can visit the website and fill in a form any time it suits them and not have to pick up the phone or come in to a customer service point," said councillor David Westley, portfolio holder for community services.
