There is yet another reason for people to access the web as regional newspapers introduce video news bulletins to their websites.
The news agency, Press Association (PA), has announced a deal with the Internet division of publisher Northcliffe Newspaper Group (NEP) to provide video news bulletins to 28 local information sites.
PA will deliver 90 second video bulletins on international and national news, sport and entertainment throughout the day and will be viewed through Windows Media Player.
"We are delighted to be working with a regional newspaper group at a time when the impact of broadband Internet on newspaper publishers is growing.
"Over time we hope to develop the service with more regional content and work with NEP to incorporate locally generated video material into the multimedia products," Asha Oberoi, head of multimedia at PA, told journalism.co.uk.
