The BBC has announced the launch of a new website that has been designed to optimise the online experience of disabled people.
Working with AbilityNet, a leading disabled charity, My Web, My Way (bbc.co.uk/accessibility) aims to help people with disabilities "get the most out of the World Wide Web".
The site is compatible with any operating software, whether it is Windows, Mac or Linux and tries to equip people with all of the Internet tools that will most benefit them.
It also offers advice and support on computer accessories such as alternative keyboards and mice, and software such as voice recognition.
Jonathan Hassell, the BBC's digital accessibility editor, says: "As a public service website, bbc.co.uk's goal is to ensure that we serve all of our users."
The new site has been endorsed by The Disability Rights Commission, RNIB and RNID.
