Forgetful drivers have no excuse not to pay their congestion charge, thanks to the launch of a new downloadable reminder system.
Motorists can download the automatic London Congestion Charge reminder programme onto their computers and program it to issue a pop-up message at specific times.
The reminder message will then provide a link that will directly access the cclondon.com website to ensure the motorist makes the payment on time.
Transport for London (TFL) hope it will make paying the charge even easier for more absent minded drivers and prevent them having to fork out for high penalty charges.
"This computer pop-up has been purpose built. It puts the driver in control by giving a reminder at a time they choose and offers a quick route to the website where they can pay," added TFL's congestion charging director, Malcolm Murray-Clark.
And if you happen to be away from your computer, TFL is also offering a handy car tax disc holder for free to remind you once again.
