The top ten government websites have been revealed.
The data has been collected by website monitoring agency, Hitwise.
The figures are based on the number of visits running up to the week ending October 29, according to reports from egovmonitor.com.
The top central government website emerged as the Jobcentre Plus site, which has an 8.27 per cent share of the market.
The Met Office site closely followed it, with a 6.57 per cent share.
The Department of Health site came in at the bottom of the table with just a 1.85 per cent market share.
Hitwise also collated results for local government websites and found the Transport for London website managed to attract the most visitors.
The Hampshire County Council website beat off competition from other local council websites, coming in at second place with a 2.15 per cent share of the market.
