Councillors in Dover are to get their own web pages to keep in touch with their local communities.

The individual pages are accessible through the Dover District Council website and contain the latest information on the councillors' activities.

Members of the public can find out their councillor's contact details and what committees they are involved in as well as general information on their respective political interests.

"This is a very exciting development, which we are very pleased to launch, " said councillor Steven Manion.

"This is a great way for the council to continue to work to connect with the community, and is another way for residents to find out about their councillors and for members to communicate with the community and keep people up to date with the workings of the council," he added.

The new web pages have been created according to the government's electronic agenda for local authorities.
