A revamped website has been launched today by Fareham Borough Council complete with improved and easier to use features.
The old favourites will still be online, including What's On in Fareham guides and on-line forms for a range of different tasks such as reporting a changed address or applying for season parking tickets.
However, the new updated site will make all of these features even easier to access and will also include the new Geographic Information Systems where users can find map-based information.
"The updated website will be quicker and easier for residents to find their way around and allow them to access information on services and keep them up to date with what is going on in the borough," explained councillor Sean Woodward.
The original site was launched in 1995 and has enjoyed rapid growth ever since, now containing over 5,000 web pages and 22,000 documents.
This latest re-launch is just the first part of the on-going development of the site.
Further features such as the ability to review planning applications online or book tickets to sporting or arts events are to be incorporated into the site over the next 18 months.
