Advanced research group EtherTouch has introduced pioneering new 3D input sensing technology for enhanced computer usability.
And a report from Usability News suggests today that consumers could be using the technology, which responds to the movement of fingers without the need for contact, in the very near future.
This potential-filled discovery could provide distinctly enhanced user interactivity as the chip technology traces finger movement through a sensing field up to several metres away from a screen.
The technology is ideally created to help people with mobility restrictions access and navigate around the web but potentially has countless of additional uses.
Educational IT tools and ATMs are just two such additional areas the technology could be geared towards.© DeHavilland Information Services plc
