New technology developed by researchers at the University of Glasgow could revolutionise the way we interact with technology and could be a great help to those with disabilities.
The researchers have developed "audio clouds" to control gadgets using movement and sound.
"The idea behind the whole thing is to look at new ways to present information," Professor Stephen Brewster told the BBC News.
Traditionally interfaces for mobile devices are visually based because they have grown out of the way people use desktop computers.
However, the new technology aims to put develop new interface technology that can be used on the move.
"We hope to develop interfaces that are truly mobile, allowing users to concentrate on the real world while interacting with their mobile device as naturally as if they were talking to a friend while walking," said Professor Brewster.
