The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), created to lead the web to its full potential by developing common protocols, has announced three special "State of the Art" (STAR) sessions as part of its agenda for the Fourteenth International World Wide Web Conference.
The independent conference, to be held in Chiba, Japan, is the one event where W3C makes a full public report of its ongoing work in areas such as web services, internationalisation, and web accessibility.
Hosted by Keio University, the sessions are led by W3C technical staff and W3C members involved in the development and deployment of these standards with the ultimate goal of providing attendees with the information they need to implement W3C technologies.
W3C is also holding sessions that focus on future directions and developments, including panel-led discussions on the mobile web, the future of xml, and the intersection of privacy and the semantic Web.© DeHavilland Information Services plc
