A growing number of major European airlines are choosing to implement electronic ticketing facilities to ease the process of booking and collecting travel tickets.
Emblematic of this trend is Czech Airlines, who today has become the latest such group to adopt the Internet service for its UK operations.
Czech Airlines now offers e-ticketing services on all Prague flights departing from Britain, enabling passengers to book online and collect their tickets electronically at the airport.
Such facilities are in the process of being installed at London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted as well as at Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
The airline claims that e-ticketing will save time and make check-in hassle free.
The new service will also prevent tickets being lost, delayed in the post, forgotten or stolen.
Last month, the International Air Transport Association announced that its member airlines would stop printing paper tickets by the end of 2007.© DeHavilland Information Services plc
