A series of new local e-government initiatives have been scheduled for this summer following almost undivided positive feedback about recent similar programmes.

According to eGov monitor, public response to the ODPM/local e-gov National Projects Programmes held during the past six months has surpassed expectations.

More than 95 per cent of people who attended the 3,500 workshops staged for local government officers said they had hugely benefited from the programmes and would be interested in attending future events.

Consequently, dozens more sessions have been organised by individual National Projects and e-government initiatives across the UK that promise to continue helping to support local authorities.

The additional events, to be held during June and July, also hope to help communities develop their knowledge of accessibility and assistive technology on offer.© DeHavilland Information Services plc
