According to a new report by the HSBC bank more an more businesses are taking advantage of the benefits offered by the Internet to take their companies operations online.
The bank claims there has been a dramatic increase in commercial Internet usage with online transactions increasing 500 per cent to 10.6 million over the past year.
The company adds that over 120,000 business clients bank online more than three times a week and, seven out of ten new firms in the UK say they are prepared to arrange finance over the Internet.
Simon Wainwright, head of business banking at HSBC Bank, said: "Businesses are waking up to the power of the net and seizing the opportunity to free up time and run their business on their terms. We're giving firms the tools to keep a tighter grip on their finances and to bank at their convenience."
