The 'We're Not Afraid' website has been inundated with messages declaring defiance towards terrorism.
The site was launched by web designer Alfie Dennan in response to the bombings in London last Thursday.
The website has collected over 11 million hits from all over the world since it was set up five days ago, and receives on average 20 messages per minute. It has also succeeded in raising nearly $1000 for the London Bomb Relief Fund.
Mr Dennan told Reuters, "At first the idea was just to try to put the sentiment out there that we wouldn't be cowed - a defiant but not aggressive statement. But it has become a platform for support for people quite literally from every corner of the globe,"
Another website, thesharpener.net, has been set up calling for a public show of defiance towards terrorism and solidarity with the people of London.
At least 52 people were killed and over 700 injured when the four bombs exploded in London on Thursday morning.
