For the first time in the UK, a national newspaper is launching an online video news service.
The Sun will feature daily video news bulletins on its website, which will be provided by the Press Association (PA).
Bulletins will be updated four times a day and will be around a minute and a half long. PA also aims to provide fresh stories and new angles on running stories for each update.
Danny Rogers, marketing manager at Sun Online, said: "The video news bulletin was an additional channel that we had been looking to implement over the last few months. PA's level of service fitted perfectly with our future plans and has resulted in a very popular new addition to The Sun Online."
PA will also provide a weekly online entertainment video feature. Its red carpet feature for the 'War of the World's' premiere was viewed by 27,000 users of Sun Online.
However, the Sun may soon not be alone in providing this service. Mirror Group Newspapers is planning to launch a range of Web sites and renovate its existing national online titles.
