A new website is being launched to encourage more businesses to connect to broadband and to use it in an innovative and productive way.

The Digital Content Forum (DCF) has launched the Broadband Showcase site as a platform for businesses to share with each other over the Internet the way in which they have used broadband to improve their performances.

In order to encourage innovation and development, those businesses adjudged to have used broadband in a particularly inventive way will be given a prominent showcase, along with a link to more detailed information.

This new site can therefore only stimulate further more innovative use of broadband, and therefore a boost to UK business.

Emma Williams, DCF director, told Business Money: "The showcase will also help forward-thinking businesspeople justify investment in broadband technology; and educate people and help them understand the ways this new technology can improve their business."

With broadband now accessible virtually everywhere in the UK, those businesses that do not take advantage of the stimulating influence it can produce only have themselves to blame.
