The government is making vital information available on its newly revamped website, www.Direct.gov.uk.

This crucial site will enable users to find out about important legislation, as well as informing them of how best to protect themselves against crime and where to get the best healthcare for their family.

The site was launched by MP Geraldine Smith at the BEST centres in Morcambe, where she told Internet users that the government is dedicated to providing people with good-quality and simple access to information and services which effect them.

This site provides a startlingly wide variety of services, enabling people to do anything from booking a driving test to even chatting with the prime minister online.

It specifically targets a number of customer groups, such as motorists, parents and disabled people, to whom the information it can provide is crucial.© Adfero Ltd
