Residents of Ashfield are about to benefit from a huge renovation of the local council's e-services.
Ashfield District Council is looking to update the technology it uses so as to radically improve the level of services it can provide in a number of areas.
The main upshot of this development is the increased level of convenience it will offer to anyone using the council's e-services, with the focus of the redevelopment being the improvement of access to and the range of information and services provided.
Jeff Christopher, deputy chief executive at the council, commented: "Ashfield people should be able to access council services quickly and easily, and our staff must also be enabled to deliver accurate information and advice."
He added: "Customer satisfaction is a priority for the council, and this investment shows we take it seriously."
The new system will also considerably reduce the paperwork burden on staff and customers.
It will also aid staff by enabling them to track the progress of customer queries far more effectively.
