A new website allowing users to search and purchase personalised car registrations at high-speed is being launched by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
The site will be able to search over 22 million personal registrations in less than one second. It will provide a complete guide to all available registrations to buy directly from the licensing agency.
The user will also be able to allow the user to view the registration in number plate form on a car of their choice and then email the picture to a friend.
"We have designed a very easy to use website that will provide our customers with the best possible support throughout the process of selecting and buying a registration," said Louise Pierpoint, marketing and publicity manager for the new website.
It marks the next step in the DVLA's progress as an accessible and useful online business. Earlier this month it launched its online car tax site, allowing customers to renew their car tax in just a few minutes.
