A new website providing workers with safety advice and tips is being launched.
The Worker's WebPages have been redesigned to more effectively deal with important worker concerns. The Health and Safety Executive's website will have information such as health and safety roles and the rights of agency workers.
It also features a worker involvement tool to encourage workers to contribute towards their employer's health and safety policies.
"The HSE recognises the importance of involving workers in successful health and safety risk management. I am delighted to launch these new WebPages, developed in cooperation with the TUC, which are a rich source of information on health and safety for workers," said Lord Hunt who launched the website at the TUC conference in Brighton.
The website has been built to adhere to guidelines set out by the Web Accessibility Initiatives organisation and many of its pages have been awarded a high "triple A" rating for ease of use. For visually impaired users, the site is compatible with mainstream screen reading software and can be navigated without a mouse.
