Social investment agency Presentation is hoping that many Internet users with special requirements will be helped by recent accessibility improvements.
The company, which states its aim is to regenerate the community in London and promote social justice, has speech-enabled its website, Publictecnology reports.
By offering the new accessibility features, Presentation aims to offer a better service for the residents of 6,000 homes currently under its management.
The improvements are designed to ensure that Internet users with visual impairments, dyslexia, literacy difficulties and non-English speakers can access the online portal.
Users are able to have the text on a web page read out to them, while highlighting the corresponding website.
Lena Ferdousi, webmaster of Presentation, explains: "Having assistive technology like this is part of our commitment to providing excellent services to all our residents."
Presentation states that it aims to provide Internet services for the widest range of individuals possible, which also includes a number of translation options and an option to change the text size onscreen.
