Two Lincolnshire Councils claim to be reaping the benefits from a new content management system (CMS).

North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council have signed an agreement to use Lincolnshire County Council's CMS, which will enable the bodies to share documents and information.

An official at West Lindsey District Council has claimed that the process was much quicker and easier than expected, while passing the benefit of up-to-date information and news on to local residents.

Jackie McGeachie, the council's web services manager, claims that the new CMS has also boosted efficiency.

"We have been able to devolve content management down to different departmental experts, who understand the content and are now able to keep their pages up to date without needing to call upon IT resources," she remarked.

Both councils are currently offering a web satisfaction survey to users of their sites, allowing visitors the opportunity to rate the site's usability and suggest improvements.
