The Guardian newspaper has boosted the accessibility of its online travel section.

Recently designing the online portal, a number of new features have been included.

These include the option to resize text and the inclusion of access keys, which the site's creators hope will have a positive impact for users, reports Brand Republic.

Additionally, all of the articles online are tagged by hand, which is designed to improve navigation.

Emily Bell, director of digital content at Guardian News and Media, commented: "The site is more user-friendly, invites greater interactivity and provides a range of booking opportunities.

"Visually, it has been transformed with cleaner lines and more pictures, providing a fantastic package for the user."

The Guardian states that it has employed user testing and working with specialists in order to carry out the upgrades to the site, aiming to offer a better online experience for all users.
