The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) has created a new online system which aims to allow NHS bodies to communicate more effectively.

Nice has stated that the new online portal will allow NHS organisations to post examples of how they implement public health guidelines, in a bid to boost understanding between agencies.

NHS bodies can then view submissions available on the Internet, which Nice hopes will enable them to provide better care.

Nicola Bent, associate director of Nice Implementation Systems, explains: "The examples people submit could be very simple, or highly complex."

Ms Bent added that the body was looking for examples of implementation, whether failed or successful.

"We want to offer a resource that shares learning, not necessarily best practice," she concluded.

Awards will also be provided for bodies sharing examples of good practice, while Nice requests all submissions to be easy to read and free of jargon.
