Wakefield Metropolitan District Council has launched a new website, aiming to help visitors and residents alike.
The new online portal is designed to help the town of Horbury by attracting visitors and boosting local businesses.
In addition, a range of information will be available to residents, with the council touting the new portal as a "focal point for the community".
Councillor Phil Dobson, deputy council leader, said that the new website represents the "dynamic" and lively nature of Horbury.
"The partnership wanted to do something that benefits the community and local businesses alike," he remarked.
"There's plenty to look at, including a local history page, links to a town trail and of course a regularly updated news and events page."
Pauline Foster, services director of urban centres management and economic development, added that the site would help to support the local economy.
Wakefield Metropolitan District Council recently announced that more than 150 groups and societies had signed up to a local community website which aims to promote and raise awareness of events in the area.
