A new "regional search engine" has been created, aiming to provide a number of benefits to individuals in the south-west.
The South West Regional Assembly has created the website, which collates information from the region, helping organisations to secure government funding for regional projects.
Stated aims of the new website include addressing deprivation and disadvantage, enhancing economic prosperity and ensuring that all individuals can participate in society.
Dubbed Just Connect!, the website was launched on November 24th 2006.
Councillor Jill Shortland, chair of the South West Regional Assembly, commented: "Just Connect! has made the region more focused and enabled the south-west to lobby more effectively for government support and funding.
"I am delighted that so many have already embraced the aims in Just Connect!."
The site can also be used to access a range of information and communicate with a number of local and national organisations, including the Confederation of British Industry and Equality South West.
