A hotel chain claims to have recorded a 400 per cent increase in revenue after revamping its website to include better accessibility features.
The Paramount group has found that alterations to its website have resulted in an "amazing" growth in website generated funds due to improved online marketing success.
Designed to comply with the AA standards of the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the site's creators claim that it is now "effortless" to navigate.
Sally Osborne, director of e-commerce at the group, commented that the enhancements "enabled us to realise, with astounding success, the full potential of the Internet and the many online marketing opportunities available to us."
Ms Osborne added that a "dramatic" increase in web traffic had also occurred.
Drew Stauffer, an expert at WebProNews, recently claimed that accessibility upgrades could help an organisation to reach a much larger target audience.
