A new audio search service allowing users to track down music, podcasts and interviews online has been launched by Yahoo.
Web users will be able to access over 35 million audio files from a variety of major music services and publishers.
It will also allow music lovers to hone up their knowledge on their favourite band or artist by searching for online music videos, reviews and pictures.
And the new search engine will also integrate with Yahoo's other video, image and news search features.
Accessible audio material will include content from Napster, Apple's iTunes and Wippit.
However, independent online publishers can also submit their own audio content to the Yahoo index through Media RSS (Really Simple Syndication).
In this way, web users can locate and access original and regularly updated audio content.
