An Internet festival is currently in full swing at London's Science Museum, aiming to bring the art of blogging and podcasting to all.
Visitors to the Do-it-Yourself media festival can pick up an array of tips on how to make their mark on the web, whether it be through an online journal or putting the latest tracks of their band online.
Opening on March 29th the festival will run until the end of March 31st and will feature not only lectures on Internet innovations but also hands-on workshops for budding bloggers.
The festival has been created in recognition of the fact that increasingly people are acting as media producers rather than just consumers, hence the festival aims to equip as many people as possible with the skills needed to participate in the developing online world.
Thursday's workshops are on the use of audio content on the Internet and Friday's programme of events will see visitors being given the opportunity to experiment with free and open source software such as Processing to PureData and Hive Networks.
The festival is completely free although visitors are required to book tickets online.
