Businesses can now access information online about legislative matters relating to competition practices in the EU.

The European Competition Network (ECN) has set up the online information resource and it aims to provide one-stop access to news from all national competition authorities.

The ECN was set up to allow the exchange of best practices and to make sure EU competition laws are correctly enforced.

This new website will now help businesses, advisors and citizens easily access information on how national competition authorities are operating, as well as the work of the ECN itself.

Visitors to the site can also see how many antitrust investigations have been carried out on trading practices between member states.

So far, there have been a recorded 529 investigations since May 1st 2004, but the website will ensure this figure is kept updated.
