The charity Citizens Advice has created a new discrimination category on its Adviceguide website to make it easier for people to find information on the subject.
A wide range of topics: race, religion, disability, sexuality and age are covered in the section and there are also fact sheets, which can be downloaded, to advise people what to do if they are discriminated against at work.
The latest of these is called "What can I do if my employer treats me unfairly because of my race?" as part of the charity's current focus on black and ethnic minority communities.
In addition, these people have the opportunity to comment on the information provided by Citizens Advice on discrimination in a survey that will help to ensure the information is relevant and accessible to users.
Citizens Advice's head of public information Liz Seward said: "We have created the new discrimination section on Adviceguide so that people can visit one place for comprehensive information on how to deal with discrimination in a range of different situations."
She also said the charity is always looking to improve the Adviceguide website and that is why "feedback from users is so important to us".
The website provides information on people's rights across a wide range of other issues including employment, housing and benefits, consumer problems, debt and specific legal concerns.
