Canterbury City Council is hoping to encourage more young people to become involved in its activities via a new website.
The online site, www.notbored.net, is aimed at locals aged between five and 18 years and will provide a wide range of relevant information and content to help promote the council's youth projects.
Last year, research conducted by the council discovered that its main site failed to appeal to many young Canterbury residents, so it is hoped the new site will ensure a more targeted approach.
Councillor Gillian Reuby explained: "Engagement with young people is a necessity because their ideas and enthusiasm can be so positive and original.
"One way of doing this is through use of the Internet and we're so pleased that the district's young people have responded so enthusiastically to this project."
The website offers visitors information on local projects, competitions, sports facilities, play area locations as well as online games and art activities.
