Residents will be able to access a wide range of environmental health information via a new South Cambridgeshire Council website.
The council, in partnership with Northgate Information Solutions, are hoping the new site will encourage greater usability for local residents by enabling them to track the progress of any of environmental health enquiries and requests.
This should mean that any environmental health concerns will be dealt with more efficiently.
The website will cover 13 different areas provided by South Cambridgeshire Council including abandoned vehicles, animal licensing and welfare, caravans, dogs, energy efficiency, food and hygiene, health and safety, noise, pest control, pollution and housing, refuse and recycling, trade waste and water.
David Meaden, managing director of Northgate Public Services, said: "We are delighted to be working with South Cambridgeshire District Council, and to be helping their environmental health department deliver a better service to citizens."
He added: "It is essential that local people are able to access information on environmental health issues, and also given the opportunity to contribute to improving the quality of life in their community."
