A growing number of people are using South Staffordshire Council's website thanks to the introduction of many new online services and an extensive site redesign.
Last month, the website received almost 15,000 visitors, which is more than double the amount of people who used it in March 2005.
The council has recently made a number of services available over the Internet, which include making payments, applying for planning permission and checking your entitlement to benefits.
This means that over 90 per cent of the council's services are accessible online and it is now working towards making all services available on the website.
Councillor Robert Reade, head of support services, said: "It is very encouraging to see how many people are using the Internet to access council information and services.
"A lot of work is still ongoing in providing access to council services over the website, so expect to see lots of activity in the coming months."
