The All Party Internet Group (APIG) will next month publish its report on Digital Rights Management, which examines the availability of content through digital media, particularly the Internet.

It will be launched at the British Library on Monday June 5th as part of the Institute for Public Policy Research seminar titled Preservation, Access and Inclusion: Balancing Opportunities in a Digital Age.

An inquiry by the APIG has looked into the best ways that artists, authors, distribution companies and also consumers can have their work or personal details protected in a rapidly developing digital era.

This is because it is much easier than in the past to make information available to millions of people and the number of people online is growing at a fast rate.

The group received more than 90 written submissions, with over 40 coming from individuals and the rest from businesses and trade associations.

The seminar will examine a range of issues on the opportunities and threats of digital technology for people who create information, provide it and also those who use it.
