A new confidential online discussion forum has been established on the NHS Networks website for community matrons (CMs) to discuss ideas and areas of system improvement.

The aim of the Community Matrons Network is to assemble CMs from across the UK and enable them to easily communicate with each other. More than 100 have already registered for it.

NHS Networks brings together groups of people within the NHS, many of which do not have the resources to create and manage their own website, so that they can interact with each other.

These include local, regional and national networks, clinical and administrative networks, formally constituted networks and loose networks where people with shared specific medical interests come together.

In addition, the website contains a range of useful information, links and downloads and a news page that is updated throughout the day.

CMs can sign up for the forum by going to the website and clicking on the Register link.
