Herefordshire Council is using several websites to help bring the region's communities together.

The website is designed to help migrant workers, many of whom have diverse languages and cultures, settle in to the county.

Available online in English, Portuguese, Polish and Russian, the portal provides digital accessibility to "a wealth of information", the council claims.

Welcometoherefordshire.com covers topics such as employment, education, leisure, transport and personal safety and has recently gone live.

Councillor Roger Phillips, leader of Herefordshire council, said: "Welcometoherefordshire.com gives them [migrant workers] the information they need in the language they understand - whether they need a dentist, fancy a workout in a local gym or want to know how they can take to the road in a car, the information's all there for them."

He adds that the website is bigger than any one organisation in Herefordshire and indicates what can be achieved through partnership working.
