The British Interactive Media Association (Bima) has extended the deadline for its awards, including the Most Outstanding Achievement in Accessibility award.
Recognising organisations which have achieved outstanding levels in best practice and creative excellence, the deadline for entries to the web accessibility prize will be extended to August 14th 2006.
Judges of the competition will be looking for examples of a specific programme or change which makes the service more widely available to users.
Bima states that a key area of concern for the judges will be: "Does it meet accessibility and web standard guidelines and is the quality of visual and technical design up to scratch?"
Awards in the Best Website and Best Community Website or Campaign categories will also be presented.
The Best Website award will evaluate usability, digital accessibility and creativity of the service, while the Best Community Website or Campaign prize will recognise the Internet service which best promotes interaction between user and community.
