The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) has highlighted the importance of online accessibility for care services.
Commenting on the launch of a new Equality and Diversity Strategy, the commission's chair states that services must meet individuals' needs.
The body recently won a New Statesman award for the accessibility of its website, with a variety of new features which enabled it to achieve World Wide Web Consortium AA level.
Denise Platt, chair of the CSCI, commented: "Our website has been revamped to make it easy to use, and has recently won an award for its accessibility."
"People also need to be able to obtain information in an accessible form to help them make choices about their care."
The summary of the body's new strategy is available online, including a large print version, an accessible version for use with screen readers and an audio file which Internet users can download.
